We hope that the below Q&A will answer your questions, but if they don't please contact us via rsvp@stelam.co.uk Do you have a wedding registry?
No! Your presence is the most important part of our day and we are so grateful that you have made the effort to celebrate with us.If you would like to make a gift, our preference is for a donation to Hospice in the Weald, an incredible charity providing care for patients with a terminal illness in Kent and Sussex. Please visit our donation page.If you really, really wish to send us a direct gift, we first request you make a charitable donation, however a small contribution to our round-the-world honeymoon fund would be very much appreciated. You can do so here.Children are most welcome, we should have directly named them on our paper invitations (and we hope we haven't forgotten any!) If we have missed one or two just let us know! What should I wear on Saturday?
Formal. We ask that you avoid the bridesmaid's colour of blush pink and white (of course). If you are also attending the earlier tea ceremony, then we also request you avoid wearing red.How do I get to the venue?
See the travel page for more info. Parking is very limited on weekends so we recommend using public transport where possible. If you are staying at The Holiday Inn, then parking is available (for a fee). What time should I arrive?
Please arrive by 11.30AM to observe the wedding party participating in traditional door games. The tea ceremony will commence at midday. If you are only attending the civil ceremony, we ask that you be seated at the venue for 4PM. If you arrive early, you may grab a drink or two at The Old Brewery, for which we have an area reserved between 2-4PM.Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
If everything goes well, there will hopefully be a mixture of both! The majority of the day will be indoors. However there will be the opportunity to catch some rays during the Interlude (2-4PM) and the Drinks Reception (5PM).It is peak summer so please plan accordingly, however we expect there to be shaded areas to cool off when outside. Can I take photos/videos during the wedding?
Absolutely! Please take many photos throughout the day and share them with us after! The only thing we request is that during the Civil Ceremony you refrain from taking photos and videos and please leave it to the professionals! We request that you do not post/share on social media until the couple are able to do so themselves! If you are attending the Tea Ceremony (midday) there will be a very British afternoon tea served afterwards: think finger sandwiches/scones/cakes served with tea and maybe a few bubbles. After the Civil Ceremony, there will be canapes at the Drinks Reception, followed by the Wedding Breakfast at approx 7PM.The will also be some nibbles later in the night at the evening reception. What if I have an allergy/dietary requirement?
If you have allergies/dietary requirements, let us know via the RSVP page. Do I need to bring any cash?
The only aspect not covered by us are the drinks at The Old Brewery prior to the Civil Ceremony (although there will be a cash tab). Everything else is included! When does everything finish?
Carriages are at 1am.A free shuttle bus will run from the venue (Old Royal Naval College) and the Holiday Inn, Greenwich, between 11.00PM and 1.30AM.If you are not staying at the Holiday Inn, the venue is very well connected - see the travel page for more info. What happens if I have any questions on the day?
We will probably be very busy on the day, if you have any questions on the day, reach out to best woman Rachel Loke (07557118184) or maid of honour Victoria Bartle (07521076169).Do I have a dim sum invite?
As this is an intimate family event, those joining us for dim sum on Sunday would have received an invite within the physical pack. When you complete the online RSVP, you will also see a question asking if you will be able to attend. If you are unsure, please contact us via rsvp@stelam.co.ukWhat should I wear for the Sunday dim sum?
It's casual! We know you might have been celebrating with us until 1am, so your least favourite thing would be to wake up and get ready for an 11am dim sum. Don't worry, everyone is in the same boat, so if you really wanted to turn up in PJs you can (there's no official photographer on Sunday). Is it really that casual?
Correct! It's no different to meeting up with friends and family for dim sum on a regular Sunday. We have planned virtually nothing for Sunday, even the venue won't take reservations. What, you haven't reserved anything?
Yes, by casual we even mean the queuing! The restaurant seats 400 people and opens at 11AM, they serve everyone on a first come, first served basis. The plan is to turn up early and join the queue. They don't usually fill up until 12.30PM but please be punctual to avoid any surprises!
